Vicki Hinze - The first female VP of the US is on a peace mission.
Vicki Hinze - She's trying to stop a war.
Vicki Hinze - But three villains want her to fail.
Vicki Hinze - One of them just wants the war to occur; it's nothing personal against her.
Vicki Hinze - The second villain wanted her job, and believed he should have had it--and he would have had it, if she weren't a woman.
Vicki Hinze - The third villain wants her dead.
Vicki Hinze - No matter what it takes, or how many innocent others die with her.
Vicki Hinze - The hero does what all protective heroes should do:
Vicki Hinze - The hero does what all protective heroes should do:
Vicki Hinze - He pushes her out of an airplane without a paracute!
O - Have sex with her
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - lol
Cissy - yow!
Vicki Hinze - That sets them on an adventure that has really high risks and even higher consequences.
Vicki Hinze - 72 hours to save the world.
Vicki Hinze - And maybe survive it.
Vicki Hinze - That's the gest of LADY LIBERTY.
Vicki Hinze - Her hero is really cool. I'm keeping him. <g>
Cissy - this book sound so intense and exciting, Vicki!
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - hehe
Vicki Hinze - He admires her mind, respects her intelligence, and lives to serve. <eg>
TriceCyn - WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - my kind of man
Vicki Hinze - Tahnks, Cissy. It is heavy on the suspense, thriller.
TriceCyn - "Vicki Hinze - He pushes her out of an airplane without a paracute!"
Cissy - lol, Trice
TriceCyn - OK I got to get this book!!!! just to read that!!!
Cissy - Trice, I think you better get in line and ask a question about that one
Vicki Hinze - He pushes her out of an airplane, hanging on to her.
Vicki Hinze - She's got a chute. He doesn't.
Mary f - Wouldn't the first question be DOES she survive that fall! LMao
Vicki Hinze - But, yes. He does push her out of the plane.
Vicki Hinze - She of course thinks he's nuts.
TriceCyn - oh man...putting on my brains hat...then..well at least trying too
Vicki Hinze - It'd be a short book if she didn't, Mary. <eg>
TriceCyn - Right Mary!!!
Vicki Hinze - I'll give you a hint. He's not nuts.
TriceCyn -
Vicki Hinze - Also. I have a special treat for you guys for coming tonight.
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - oh?
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - oh?
TriceCyn - ooo a treat???? cool!!!
Vicki Hinze - In LADY LIBERTY, I goofed. I made a wee mistake that is glaringly obvious to me and to half the world.
Cissy - a treat? We love treats
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - hehehe
Vicki Hinze - Whichever one of you points it out will win a copy of any of my other books you'd like to have.
TriceCyn - oh really??? what was that??
TriceCyn - my ok!!!
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - oooohhhhhh
Mac - Yeah, what was it?
Vicki Hinze - I did it in editing. Thought I'd corrected it, and hadn't. So we'll have fun with it.
Mac - LOL
Vicki Hinze - Well, Mac. That you must tell me.
TriceCyn - *wonders if it's in the first Chapter on her website *
Mac - Hmmmm
Mac - **sniff** guess I'm out of the running then.
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - lol trice
Vicki Hinze - It's something common that I twisted. You'll get it.
Cissy - Okay! Let's go on to Q&A -- If you have a question for Vicki, just type ? and I'll call on you in turn.
Cissy - O has first question (TriceCyn in line)
O - So she is in charge of the mission and he has to obey her orders
Vicki Hinze - Yes, O. She's his boss's boss. The Veep and the head of Oversight. So he definitely has to obey her orders.
TriceCyn - ooo bet he hates that!!!
O - Trice
Vicki Hinze - Actually, he respects her judgment. Though they don't always agree.
Vicki Hinze - Still, when they don't, it's her call.
Vicki Hinze - I loved that part. <eg>
O - I like that part
TriceCyn - well most men do hate taking orders from a women well unless he's ok with his mastly(sp) //archedlook
O -
TriceCyn - ok Why does he throw her out of the plane, Vicki???
Mac - Mastly?
Mac - nevermind.......
Vicki Hinze - I like really strong men. And I've yet to meet a strong man that doesn't need a strong woman to keep them in line.
Cissy - Trice has the next question (O in line)
Vicki Hinze - Otherwise the guys would run right over them.
Vicki Hinze - He throws her out of the plane because the pilot wants cream in his coffee.
Vicki Hinze - That's why Sybil thinks Jonathan is nuts.
TriceCyn - well Mac you aren't on the ball you are to spell check for me
Cissy - LOL, Vicki - you GOTTA explain that one!
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - hehehe i know the answer
Vicki Hinze - It's a signal, of course.
Cissy - welcome back lifemate
O -
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - ty cissy
Vicki Hinze - The pilot drinks his coffee black.
O - So the piliot is the bad guy?
TriceCyn - WHAT the pilot wants cream???? OMG..i think i am going to pee my pantes!!!! also reading chap1 as we talk too
TriceCyn - WB Lifemate
Cissy - oh! so it's not the right pilot?
TriceCyn - geee anyone want coffee??? ... LMAO
Vicki Hinze - The pilot appears to be a bad guy, and a lot of people believe he' a traitor to the US.
Vicki Hinze - But Sybil believes he's a good guy.
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - can i cash in on my prize or did someone else get it before me?
TriceCyn - oh my the bandie is killing me and now the poleit's coffee ...ROTFLMAO
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - ty Trice
Vicki Hinze - No, it's the right pilot. He's warning them something is seriously wrong.
TriceCyn - Lifemate...you read the book????
Cissy - I don't think anyone's guessed yet, lifemate
Cissy - ohhh, NOW I get it, Vicki
Vicki Hinze - But he has to do it without getting caught--or creamed.
TriceCyn - OH!!! bad guys on the plane then???
Vicki Hinze - No pun intended. <eg>
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - i read the first chapter:>
Mary f - Hijacking maybe?
Vicki Hinze - Yes, but not one of the three villains. <eg>
O -
Vicki Hinze - Bad guys on the plane. Yes, but none are the three villains.
Cissy - O has the next question (no one in line)
Vicki Hinze - No, not a hijacking, Mary.
Vicki Hinze - Yes, O?
O - What else kind of books do you write?
Vicki Hinze - Romantic Suspense, Paranormals, contemporaries.
Vicki Hinze - Silhouette Intimate Moments, mystery, nonfiction.
TriceCyn - so it is in chapter one then Lifemate??? hmmmm
Caffey - Hi all
TriceCyn - Hi Caffey
Vicki Hinze - 1 historical. I did the Seascape novels.
Vicki Hinze - A couple time travels.
Caffey - Hi Trice
Mary f - Hello Caffey
Caffey - sorry i'm late, Hi Vicki
Cissy - Hi Caffey Welcome to our chat with Vicki Hinze. We're talking tonight with Vicki about her newest release, LADY LIBERTY. We'll be operating on protocol, so if you have a question for Vicki, just type ? and I'll call on you in turn.
Caffey - Hi Mary
Cissy - Vicki, do you have a favorite scene in LADY LIBERTY?
O - Wow
Vicki Hinze - Hi, Caffey. Welcome.
O -
Vicki Hinze - I'd wave, but I can't get the icons to work.
Vicki Hinze - I do, Cissy.
Caffey - its // wave without the space
Vicki Hinze - It's after Sybil and Jonathan get back to Home Base.
Cissy - Vicki, type // wave (with no space between) to wave
Cissy - tell us about it, Vicki
Vicki Hinze - They're in this room before the media, and Sybil chooses to sacrifice her pride for the good of the nation.
Caffey - I liked the way you picked out the color of your name to match your book and banner colors there Vicki
Vicki Hinze - To me, it's a totally awesome scene. Just awesome. Not because I wrote it, but because it's the kind of policitians we need so badly.
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - all i can say is that Vicki misspelled an city
Vicki Hinze - Thanks, Caffey.
Vicki Hinze -
Vicki Hinze - Oh, wow! Isn't that cool?
Caffey - there you go!
Vicki Hinze - Thanks, Cissy.
Cissy - there you go, vicki!
Cissy - hey, was that the mistake, Vicki? The misspelled city?
Caffey - is this romance suspense or just suspense novel?
Vicki Hinze - That's a typo lifemate.
Vicki Hinze - This is in content. It's something cited that I attributed inaccurately. You'll know it the minute you see it.
Cissy - ah, so the prize is still up for grabs
Vicki Hinze - It's romantic suspense, Caffey, but it's very heavy on the suspense.
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - oh oops! not really
Vicki Hinze - I had to do that because the whole story takes place in 72 hours.
Cissy - Hi Margret Welcome to our chat with Vicki Hinze. We're talking tonight with Vicki about her newest release, LADY LIBERTY. We'll be operating on protocol, so if you have a question for Vicki, just type ? and I'll call on you in turn.
Caffey - hi Margret
Cissy - Caffey, you missed the bit where Vicki tells us about the hero pushing the heroine out of a plane with no parachute
Vicki Hinze - The prize is still up for grabs.
Cissy - Vicki, do you see this book as making a good movie? It sounds like it would
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - hi margret
Vicki Hinze - Miramax is looking at it now. As are several others. So it could be.
Margret - good evening everyone
TriceCyn - Hi MArgret
Caffey - i have read books that go over just two or three days and enjoy those suspense
Cissy - oh, that's great news, Vicki!
Vicki Hinze - It's really action-oriented so it would translate well. We'll have to see. So far, it looks pretty good.
Caffey - Yikes Cissy, but it sounds good!!!
O - Who do you want to play the hero Vicki
Vicki Hinze - Thanks. We'll have to wait and see how it turns out.
Vicki Hinze - They asked who I recommended for Sybil and Jonathan.
Cissy - it really does, Caffey
Vicki Hinze - I said Helen Hunt or Meg Ryan for Sybil.
Mac - I got bounced...**sigh**
Caffey - Mac
Caffey - ?
Vicki Hinze - And Nicholas Cage or Tom Hanks for Jonathan.
Cissy - ooh, Helen Hunt would make a great Vice President
Vicki Hinze -
TriceCyn - WB MAc
Cissy - and ooh, I love Nicholas Cage and Tom Hanks both
Cissy - Caffey has the next question (no one in line)
Vicki Hinze - She would. And she has the presence to carry off being a vice president
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - wb mac
TriceCyn - Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage...
Caffey - Can you explain a bit about the title being LADY LIBERTY? Did you choose that title? Did you base your book on anything real or something near to it? I think its great having a character as a VP
Vicki Hinze - Did you see Nicholas Cage in Guarding Tess?
Vicki Hinze - That's when he struck me as being a perfect Jonathan Westford.
Vicki Hinze - I titled the book Lady Liberty.
TriceCyn - YUP!!!!
Vicki Hinze - I'm doing a series of "lady" books.
TriceCyn - and Meg would be better....she did that War film
Vicki Hinze - Liberty deals with liberty for us, but also for Sybil and Jonathan.
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - goody
Mac - I found something in the book...dunno if it's right or not, though.
Cissy - I can't see Meg as a Vice President
Vicki Hinze - mean, it's not easy to be a regular guy in love with the second most powerful person in the world.
Cissy - But Helen Hunt definitely.
Mac - maybe just a typo...**sigh**
Vicki Hinze - I couldn't until I saw her in Courage under Fire.
Cissy - that's got to be tough to sell, Vicki - have to be the right kind of guy. Can you tell us more about Jonathan?
Caffey - I have a follow up, smile. Is this the first in the LADY series?
Vicki Hinze - So it's about their liberty, or the freedom to love, and about our liberty as a country and having
Vicki Hinze - public servants who don't think Democrat or Republican, but America.
TriceCyn - sorry...brb got to get some ice cream for my sore throat...brb
Vicki Hinze - American. Sorry about that.
Caffey - sounds so beautiful Vicki
Vicki Hinze - Jonathan is awesome.
Vicki Hinze - He's gorgeous, he's smart, he loves women, he admires them,
Vicki Hinze - and he's been in love with Sybil for a long, long time.
Cissy - oh wow -- see now that's an important piece of information
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - awwwww
Caffey - will we re-visit him in the other LADY books?
Vicki Hinze - But she was married to another man--a total loser--and he didn't think he was worthy of her.
Cissy - what's Sybil like?
Cissy - I take it she's divorced now?
Vicki Hinze - I just finished writing LADY JUSTICE, which is Gabby and Max's book. Gabby is Sybil's best friend in Liberty.
Vicki Hinze - So you get to visit Sybil and Jonathan again in LADY JUSTICE. And you'll get to visit all of them in the one after that.
Vicki Hinze - I'm planning on doing about six Lady books.
TriceCyn - back...typing one handed
Armand/Giovanni lifemate -
Cissy - oh cool, Vicki!
Vicki Hinze - Sybil is strong and smart and she says what she means and means what she says.
Caffey - i love that vicki!
Vicki Hinze - She doesn't take anything off anyone, but she doesn't dish out garbage either.
TriceCyn - so Sybil is married to another man??? and Johnathan is in love with her???
Vicki Hinze - She kind of stays in trouble because she doesn't play party politics. She does what she believes is best for America--and whoever doesn't like it is welcome to take her on.
O - What made you decide to wtrite did you hear Voices in your head
Vicki Hinze - Was, Trice. She's not married anymore.
TriceCyn - good for her!!!!
Vicki Hinze - But he was in love with her then. She, of course, didn't know it.
TriceCyn - awww sorry didn't see the was
TriceCyn - ahhh i meant
TriceCyn - ooo this book sounds great
Vicki Hinze - Does anyone watch Fox & Friends?
Vicki Hinze - I'm a huge fan. I watch every morning. Well, one morning they were chatting about corruption in politics.
O - no i don't
Vicki Hinze - And they were saying how it made them sick but none of them saw an end to it.
Vicki Hinze - It's morning news but really informal, which I like.
Vicki Hinze - Anyway, that bothered me. That "we can't do anything to stop it."
Vicki Hinze - It bugged me all day.
Caffey - yes i see this show now and then... is this how you decided to write with the politics theme?
Mary f - I've seen it but I missed that one
Cissy - it's depressing, Vicki -- but I'm guessing you try to combat that in this book?
Vicki Hinze - I kept thinking, "yes, we can. By george, we put them in there, we an take them out."
O - Did you hear voices is that why you satarted to wrrie
Vicki Hinze - "we need to expect more from them."
Vicki Hinze - Yes, Cissy. By example. Sybil leads by example. She truly is a public servant.
Vicki Hinze - I admire her. And she's someone I can look at and tell my kids, now when you grow up, this is the kind of person you need to aspire to be.
Mary f - Maybe all future politicains should read it then!
Vicki Hinze - For me, it's like watching movies, O.
Cissy - it really sounds wonderful, Vicki - I can't wait to read it
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - lol Mary f:0
Cissy - it's on shelves now, right?
Vicki Hinze - I'd like to make it required reading.
Vicki Hinze - Darling, Mary!
Armand/Giovanni lifemate - *
O - Good Idea Mary
Vicki Hinze - Yes, it's out now, Cissy.
Caffey - when will LADY JUSTICE be out?
Vicki Hinze - I hope you enjoy it. I rewrote it four times.
TriceCyn - good luck on that one Mary...remeber our current Prez.....money exchanged hands to get him in the office period!!!
Vicki Hinze - Changing genres, until I felt like the balance was just right.
O - What are you wriitng next
Caffey - why four times!
Vicki Hinze - I just turned LADY JUSTICE in to my editor. So it'll be a while.
Mary f - LOL Trice!
Vicki Hinze - I finished LADY JUSTICE last week, and this week, I'll start LADY PATRIOT. You'll meet that character in Lady Justice.
O - What is Lady Justice about
Caffey - I love these titles!
TriceCyn - ooo Vicki!!!!
Cissy - this sounds like a great series, Vicki
Caffey - i agree Cissy
Vicki Hinze - I'm persnickety, Caffey. I loved this book so much and I wanted it to be hands down the absolute best I could make it. So I changed it until it felt as if I'd done my best all the way through.
O - I got her eyes are blue on the cover and brown in the book that is the mistake
Vicki Hinze - It's about an agent undercover as a judge who's partner is ordered to kill her because her cover has been blown.
Vicki Hinze - That's Lady Justice.
Vicki Hinze - No, O. That's not it.
Cissy - Vicki, our hour has just flown bye! Thanks so much for chatting with us tonight
Vicki Hinze - I'll give you guys another clue. Pay attention to sounds in the book.
Caffey - thats because of the color theme of the book O
